About Fiji Human Rights Commission

 

The Fiji Human Rights Commission is establsihed under Human Rights Commission Decree No. 11 of 2009.

The Commission promotes and protects human rights by educating the public about human rights and unfair discrimination under the Decree No. 11 of 2009 and United Nations Covenants and Conventions on Human Rights. The Commission's second main function, which is the protection of human rights involves the investigation of allegations of violations of human rights and unfair discrimination, and subsequent legal action, if necessary.
